Harry Potter sat on the edge of his bed listening to the sounds of the Dursley's voices yelling below him.

"I don't care what these Weaslers say but that boy is not coming to stay here! Having one of... them is bad enough" screamed Uncle Vernon.

"Vernon dear I know we don't usually associate ourselves with them but it's true that Harry has been to stay with them every summer since he met them....maybe we should let him stay, just for a few days..." Aunt Petunia said in a calming voice.

"No NO NO!" Uncle Vernon roared, "I will NOT have another one under my roof for one day"

"Well what if we treat both of them really badly while he's here to stay?" Aunt Petunia asked, "So bad that he'll never want to come stay again. He might even leave early!"

"And I won't have to talk to him, or Harry while he's here?" Uncle Vernon asked.

"Not one word" Aunt Petunia kissed him on his grotesquely fat cheek.

Needless to say, Harry wasn't expecting a note from Ron asking to stay at the Dursley's house. He wasn't quite looking forward to it either. He would have to write Ron as soon as Hedwig came back from Hermione's, telling him to expect the worst if he was coming, and he would understand if Ron didn't want to any more. He seemed pretty excited about it in his note though.

Harry,

Great news! Dad thinks it would be wonderful if I could come stay with you for a few days! Reckons the muggles won't mind as we've let you stay here every summer. I know you say it's horrible there, but won't it be fun with the two of us? Give little Dudley a Never-Stop-Growing-Nose candy to go with that great Ton Tongue he had! Dad also wants me to bring him back some "muggle souvenirs" like one of those weird posters where the people in them don't move. Send Hegwig over as soon as you can to let me know!

Ron

Ron obviously didn't know that the Dursley's were on a great year-round diet, in a hopeless attempt of getting Dudley thin. He also couldn't possibly know about Dudley's gang, who were constantly threatening Harry and chasing him all over town to try to beat him up. And there was no way he knew about Aunt Petunia's plan to make him regret ever wanting to visit. Harry was fortunate enough to overhear her plotting it, so he could tell Ron. Harry thought for sure that Ron wouldn't come after learning about all of that, and to his own surprise, he felt a bit disappointed. Sure he would much rather go to stay with Ron at The Burrow, but the thought of Ron coming to stay was kind of exciting as well.

Hedwig finally arrived with a postcard from Hermione saying she couldn't wait to go back to Hogwarts again. Harry couldn't wait either, but for different reasons then Hermione's probably were. Harry wanted to get back to see his friends and start Quidditch again, while Hermione no doubt wanted to see her friends, she was probably more excited about starting school work again.

Harry couldn't wait to start his 6th year at Hogwarts. The only good thing he could think of about school work was that the 6th years would be doing harder, more dangerous curses this year. Although Harry never intended to use any curse on anyone besides Voldmort or his followers, it was nice to know in case the situation arose, like it had done before so many times. The death of Sirius was still shocking to Harry, and he found himself dreaming of it often, replaying it in his head. Sirius was Harry's one chance of permanently getting away from the Dursleys. Now he was gone, and as much as Harry was guilty for thinking of himself, he knew he was just as upset about never being able to live with him as he was about Sirius being killed. He went to sleep that night, wondering if Ron would still want to stay and also thinking about Sirius, and how horrible that it had to be him that was killed.
