Dark Now Father

A/N; 'ello 'ello. Sorry for the wait between updates and, in this case, new junk in general. I've been busy as of late, adapting to new crap in my life…Anywho, this is, obviously, a Star Wars poem, more specifically, a Darth Vader poem. So, read, press the new green button at the bottom, please and enjoy.

"Great shot, Skywalker!"

The garbled transmission that changed everything

I didn't know we were on the same frequency

We shouldn't have been

I should have been out of range

Spiraling away

Thrust out by the force of the blast

"Way to go Skywalker!"

There it is again

No mistaking it this time

My name

Or, my old one

Could it be?

Someone could have taken it

Unlikely

Unlikely to the point of absurdity

No one would take that name

"Great shot, kid,

That was one in a million!"

How often did I hear that?

After destroying a droid ship?

How often did I say that?

To my own padawan?

After we destroyed the Ion Cannon

Wait…

'Kid'?

How old is this…

New "Skywalker"?

Can't be more then twenty

That'd be the same age …

No!

He said I killed her

On that horrible day

All these years of hell

To find…

What?

A coincidence?

Nothing is coincidence

Qui-Gon?

Did he lie?

My "Master" of nearly two decades

An image of the boy--

Skywalker?-- appears

He is screaming as I strike down Kenobi

His rage, hot and sweet

Too soon tamed by Kenobi's presence in the Force

To sense that,

With little or no training…

He must be…

My son

Palpatine will pay

A/N; Yay! Another AN. Moving on. Explanations, should you need them:

- The title; the word "Vader" means "Father" in, I believe it's Danish, and "Darth" is "Dark" in some similar, possibly related language. So the title is a play on words; he was "Dark Father," but now he really is a Father, at least in his own mind

- The Padawan/Ion Cannon bit; No, I DO NOT MEAN STARKILLER. One of my friends was, like "Hey, is that that Starkiller dude from that game?" NO. Ok? Clear enough? It refers to Asoka Tano, Anakin's Padawan from the recent movie/show, The Clone Wars, as does the Ion Cannon thing. Episode three, to be precise.

Any other fuzzy areas will be posted as they are brought to my attention. Until then, may the Force be with you.
