AN: Second fic up, yo! Okay, I know this is sorta silly but Percabeth is so cute :D They are like, the cutest thing after puppies.
DISCLAIMER: It would be useless reporting me as I do not own PJO. All rights to Rick Riordan. Also, if I did own it, I would be working it and start finishing the Heroes of Olympus series already!
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Annabeth asked, joined Percy from where he was sitting ducks as guard outside their makeshift tent. They were on a quest and the monsters in the area ranged from I-will-kill-you-with-a-truck to I-will-make-you-have-a-tea-party-with-my-monster-dolls. And with their luck, they had experienced the latter. And it wasn't fun, as they had been the snacks.
"Huh?" said Percy stupidly.
"The view, it's natural beauty, isn't it?"
Leave it to Annabeth to ask a question that'll leave a guy in a difficult place. Percy thought about how to respond, it wasn't as it the view was bad. They were near a cliff, and you could see the through the fog rising in tendrils the crystal blue lake, no doubt icy cold in this weather, and the many tall trees with snow covering their tops. It was pretty nice. Admitting would certainly make Annabeth feel warm up to him but, that wouldn't be very masculine.
She's looking at him, waiting for his response, and he turns his neck to look at her too. Her hair seems to supporting twigs, branches and a various assortment of leaves. He thinks about how he could make an unprofessional bouquet with it before shaking himself out of his ADHD driven thoughts. She has a few cuts on her cheek and her lips are chapped. Her clothes resembles that of a person who just got out of a bull fight in which the bull seemed to be winning. But her pretty eyes still sparkle with the same warm, different from the surroundings and her hair still curls the way it always has, though now supporting vegetation. And if you'd ask him, he'd say he's never laid his eyes on anything more naturally beautiful than her.
So, with a nonchalant shrug, he replies, "I've seen better."
