The Auror laid back in bed and turned his head away as the woman pulled her hair back, the ugly black Mark clear on her pale skin. He sighed softly. "I'm trying to figure out what to call us but terms like lovers, partners, friends with benefits all imply a certain degree of closeness that just doesn't exist between us."

The Death Eater finished putting her hair up and looked at him, the blanket not hiding her bare breasts. "I agree." She wondered where he was going with this.

He sighed softly. "This is a mutually beneficial..." He paused. "I'm hesitant to call it a relationship." He shook his head and continued, "We simply benefit from this. I benefit from not killing you. You benefit from not killing me. I benefit from not dying, as do you. And we both benefit from the sex."

The woman nodded, growing slightly impatient. "What's your point?"

"My point is," he said slowly, as though he were trying to reassure himself of it, "That this has no effect on us outside of this room. If we were to see each other while one of us was working, we wouldn't hesitate to kill each other, would we?"

She shook her head. No, she wouldn't hesitate. She wasn't prone to sentimentality. "I've often considered killing you here, but we swore upon the sanctity of this room with an Unbreakable Vow."

He raised his eyebrows. Had she really? She was so heartless. But wasn't that one of the reasons why he craved her?
