catbeck ;; when stars explode
throw it away, forget yesterday
"Let's run away," he says to her one day, still sweaty and panting from the sex they've just had. His bed sheet only covers his naked lower body and he stares up at his white ceiling waiting for her to say something, anything.
He expects her to say no. She doesn't.
Instead, she sits up and holds his sheets to her chest, as she looks down at him and considers it. Her bright red hair sticks to her forehead, and she bites her lower lip. She knows she should say no-this is her best friend's boyfriend she's sleeping with, and thinking about running away with.
"Okay." She says finally, and just as she doubts it all, he grins and presses his chapped lips to hers and makes her remember why she said yes-why she'd always say yes.
"Okay," he says, in between kisses.
Maybe their relationship isn't perfect-maybe it's full of flaws and lies and angry sex. Maybe they're like stars-they'll shine now and explode later. But the thing is, neither cares anymore.
Because as screwed up as they are, they make each other whole again, the way Jade and Robbie could never do.
we'll make the great escape
