Prologue
Haruna and Haruka.
Haruka and Haruna.
It was always the both of them.
Their mother was always at work during Christmas or other special event, it was always just the two of them.
Their father died when they were only a few months old, causing their mom to drown herself to work to provide for them.
Well, that was what they think to help them sleep at night.
Despite being twins, Haruka and Haruna weren't close when they were children, unlike normal siblings that do not get much affection from their parents. Due to being identical, they both strived to be better than the other and gain the attention of their mother. Despite treating each other as a rival, they somehow have that weird connection. They can read each other well, and there are times that their minds and actions are so in sync that it starts to freak them out, causing the both of them to try harder to be different from the other. But as they grew old, both love-starved little girls grew tired of everything and let go of their rivalry, choosing to find love in one another, thus, strengthening their familial bond that not even their mother can break through anymore.
In school, Haruna easily made 'friends' while Haruka tended to be a lone-wolf, opting to read than to socialize. At the end of the day, Haruna's only true friend would be Haruka because no else saw the façade she puts up, trying to look good in front of people and trying to gain more attention.
She admits, she is a bit of an attention-whore but Haruka…
Haruka was a constant in her life.
When they were young, they would've done anything to get rid of one another due to the fear of being the lesser twin but now…
They complete each other.
They were once literally attached to the hip, but they realize that until now, they still are even with without their flesh joined together.
It will always be, Haruka and Haruna.
Or so they thought.
Notes:
This is a story that I have been wanting to write a long time ago but haven't got the courage or the inspiration to do so. Anyway, I hope the OCs were okay. I've always liked the Yamamoto twins from 'Special A' and I think I based the girls' appearance from 'Megumi Yamamoto' who has pale brown (almost peach) colored hair. Also, their surnames would be based from some people I met in school and I thought they were twins. Their surnames would be revealed later. I've always wondered how it will be like when the twins finally meet another set of twins that understands how they feel. I'm not sure when I will update again since I'm busy but I do hope you like it! Forgive the errors. I wrote it on a whim and didn't really try to proof-read it. I wanted to post it as soon as possible before I change my mind.
