Just leave school early! The tree stuff is calling! Victoria

Hey darling, don't try and leave early, please. Here are the photos. Enjoy, Mum

"They still don't like doing it by themselves?" Vince asked, reading the letter Greg passed to him.

"Nah, you'd think that by fourth year they would have gotten used to it."

Greg's younger sisters Lyra and Victoria (they were twins) never liked setting up their Christmas without Greg, but their mother insisted the tree go up on the first of December, even whilst Greg was at school.

Their solution was to send him a stack of photos showing each individual bauble or hanging put on the tree. For some of the more special ornaments, they would hold them up to the camera and wave before putting it on.

"I remember when we got these," Vince said, picking up one of the photos that Greg had spread over his bed. The picture showed Lyra (although Vince could never spot the difference between them) holding up a gold bauble with Gregory written in black calligraphy. Vince had his own, Draco came across a street artist in Paris couple years back and had one made for everyone.

"Mum found these last year," Greg said, handing Vince another picture. "Somewhere along the Manchester Arcade." Both girls held up angel carvings, whose wings shone like a sun. One wore a flowing sky blue dress, and the other a pastel green. The girls loved them.

"What are you two up to?" Theo stepped into the form, Draco beside him.

"The girls set up the tree." Greg waved his hand holding the photos he hadn't looked at yet, and the boys grinned.

"Still?" Draco smiled. It wasn't the sly grin he was famous for; it was a friendly, adorable smile (though Pansy was the only one who didn't get cursed for mentioning said adorableness).

"Yeah, come have a look."

Greg laughed when he reached the final photo, and held it out for the boys to see. It was obvious, looking at the completed tree, that the two girls had done it themselves. The top half of the tree was bare except for the star on top (that their mother would have put up) and a large tangle of tinsel had been thrown up and sat off to the left.

"Oh I can't wait for my mother to see that," Vince laughed. "You know how picky and organised she is, Greg, she'll fix it up by hand just to make a point."

"Nope, they'll pull it all down and pack it up the night before we leave for the holidays."

"You're kidding," Draco said, looking up from a photo of Victoria holding a Greg's First Christmas star-shaped ornament.

"They like to set it up with me," Greg said. "Because mum won't pick them up to do the higher branches and dad doesn't care for it. Plus the train set's in my room, they won't find it."

"As if you have a toy train," Theo mocked, pretending to look disgusted, but everyone knew Theo was secretly jealous since his parents didn't let him and his little brother decorate the house for Christmas

"As if you don't," Greg retorted.

Hidden under his bed was a small tree and some generic baubles and tinsel that the guys were going to set up in their dorm whilst Theo was in a Charms detention tomorrow night.
