Eren was lying on bed. They had just made it back to Wall Rose. His heart was aching as he thought about it yet again. The sounds of their yells, and then the sound of their bones being cracked against trees or the sound o being bit in half like you were nothing.

His squad. His squad died because of him. No, not just the squad; hundreds died. They all died because of his weakness.

And he hated himself. He had absolutely nothing to say for all their deaths. They all died for nothing.

Eren felt tears stream down his face in despair.

The door creaked open. There was Mikasa, her uniform off.

"Eren…are you feeling okay?" Mikasa asked worriedly. Eren nodded quietly.

Mikasa knew there was something wrong with Eren. He never acted like this. She could tell from his forest green eyes that he was filled with guilt and despair.

Eren was, of course, put in a dungeon for the time being, but luckily, they didn't chain him up.

Mikasa walked over to the bars and sat down.

"Eren…come here."

Eren stood obediently with no complaint (much to Mikasa's surprise) and walked over. Mikasa slipped her hands through the bars and clasped her hands in his.

"Please…tell me what's wrong."

"…What's not to be wrong?! I caused the death of hundreds, Mikasa! Hundreds…and it was all because I'm weak…" Eren said. Mikasa squeezed his hand slightly.

"That's not true."

"Yes it is Mikasa! You can't dou-"

"Eren…you saved me. You saved me from what could have been the worst life anyone could imagine. You've always been strong. You just put yourself down because others are stronger," Mikasa stated.

Eren looked a her, surprised. She almost never talked about her past.

"Mikasa…"

"We all make mistakes. All of us. But we learn. So Eren…don't use this as an excuse to put yourself down…use this as an excuse to make yourself stronger," Mikasa said.

Eren sat there in shock for a minute, before very quietly speaking.

"Thank you, Mikasa. I…I needed that."

Mikasa shook her head.

"Anything for you, Eren."
