It's time for Jodie to build a new life after living in isolation for months. She thought about either living alone, Zoey, Jay, or Ryan. Living alone isn't the right choice for her. As much as she wanted to live with either of the three, she couldn't make that choice. They are great power, but she couldn't make the choice, nonetheless.
She thought about living with one person...
Norman...
Thinking back on one of her missions while she was in the CIA, she saved the life of this FBI agent when he was targeted by a crime syndicate. At least he knew how to fight, despite the danger he was in. If that wasn't enough, she had Aiden healed his mind from being damaged due to his overuse of the ARI after having solved the Origami Killer case. With this, he is now in her debt for saving not just his life, but also his mind. The impact of these events has caused him to resign from the FBI, finally overcoming his addiction to the ARI.
Making up her mind, she meets up with Ryan to say her goodbyes. At least they parted in good terms this time, unlike the time where she defected from the CIA when she discovered she was being used as a tool in murdering a democratically elected president who just wanted peace for his country, not to start a war.
Arriving in Washington by plane, Jodie came to see Norman is waiting for her by the airport.
"Hey, good to see you, Jodie," the former FBI agent greeted her.
"Good to see you, too, Norman," she greeted him in return.
They shared a hug with each other, feeling relief they got to see each other again after crossing each other's path one time on that fateful day.
"So, where's Aiden?" Norman asked Jodie as they let go of the hug. As he saw a sad expression on her face, he realized the answer. Aiden is no longer connected to her. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked of that."
"No, it's okay," she immediately composed herself. "You didn't know about it. So where are we going?"
With a smile on his face, he shows her his new place. Ever since he was hailed as the hero who foiled the Origami Killer's plans, he was awarded with large amounts of money in return. He used some of it to bought this apartment, and the rest goes to charity donations for the eight boys who were drowned by the killer. To him, he has enough of money.
"Nice place," Jodie made a good comment on the apartment. It has plenty space for both of them to live on.
"Thanks," Norman is happy to be complimented on the place.
The two stared lovingly into each other's eyes for a few seconds before they shared a kiss. It is the best moment of their lives, and they will cherish it forever.
Tonight, they're eating a good dinner when they heard a moaning sound as they the window is fogging with a message suddenly appearing in front of their eyes. It said, 'STILL HERE'. They realized what this means.
Aiden is back...
Jodie couldn't be more happier than seeing his return, and Norman felt the same expression. All that matters is that they're together again.
Author's Note: Who loves Norman x Jodie? I do. Here's my first story of it.
