Ben lied in his bed trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with him.
Why did he torment himself?
Could he not be forgiven?
And why had she come back?
No…he knew why.
Ben shook his head.
No she wasn't back...just lingering...here...with him…
All because, she loved him.
That's when he felt it; those ice cold, dark, dead hands on his chest. That soothing breathing and a sigh of closure. It was driving him insane.
Maybe he was better off in a ward, like Vivien.
"You know you want me here..." she whispered like a snake whose venom was spewing out.
Ben didn't answer trying to ignore her.
Just ignore her and she will go away...just ignore her and she WILL go away!
He had been telling himself that ever since she showed up again, but to no avail...
It was written in the stars, she had claimed…
She turned his face towards hers, his eyes locking with hers; those deep, unreadable red eyes that had caught his attention all those years ago.
And there it was...that wicked smile that he loathed.
"You'd be nothing without me...just any empty shell. A shell that would give in to the temptations of this house." she whispered again. It stung this time.
"I hate you, Hayden..." he breathed finally breaking his silence.
"I knew I could get you to talk..." She had done it. She had conquered him again. No sign of worry or disbelief. She just smiled.
"And...I love you too..." she said, climbing on top of him.
She looked into his eye, leaning in, where he felt her breath on his lips.
"What is it about being dead, that makes me so...horny?" she breathed as she moved her hand down his lips, then his neck, and finally his chest, her fingers gently rubbing across his skin.
She took his hands, placing them on her waist.
"I don't love you, Hayden." he told her.
Again, she smiled.
"Too bad you're screwing the girl you hate, huh?" she said smirking as she leaned in kissing his lips deeply.
