Catherine sat in her car, watching the temperature continue to rise. She felt tears sting her eyes as she thought of poor Joshua. As tears began to fall, her thoughts turned to her own daughter. [I could never do that to Lindsey, no matter how sick she was.]
She was so caught up in her thoughts, she didn't notice the person outside her door until it opened and she fell on him. Turning to look in his eyes as he helped her upright she asked wearily, "What do you want, Gil?"
"To hold you while you cry," he answered simply.
