Ryoma was upset at his boyfriend. He had been asked out by his boyfriend and to go to one of his most hated places, the mall. He accepted though because he wanted to spend time with Fuji since they rarely got time to themselves now that they were in different schools. It was so much easier when they attended the same middles school. Now that his boyfriend was in high school, their time was cut short since Fuji had to spend more time on his homework. It was frustrating, yes.
However, he was more upset at the fact that he had taken the time out of his day to hang out with his boyfriend only to find out that Syuusuke was meeting up with some of the former Regulars. He took a sip of Ponta and shot a death glare at his boyfriend, who was laughing at something that had just happened. He didn't know what, but he did not care. He had distanced himself from the group, his punishment to Fuji for dragging him here in the first place.
In spite of wanting to storm out of the mall and not giving a second glance at his smiling boyfriend, he could not bring himself to do so. Even though he was angry and wanted to keep Syuusuke all to himself, he sat there and endured it all. He may still be distant from them, but he was still there. To him, that was saying a lot. He disliked the fact that he was not getting much attention, but he disliked not being with his boyfriend more. It was an on-going conflict that would never cease.
Still, he thought it was quite obvious which side was winning at the moment. If only his boyfriend could sense that and leave the group to spend more time with him. However, there seemed about as much chance of that happened as him actually enjoying his sempais being there. He took another sip of his drink. He had endured much worse from his sadistic boyfriend, but that did not mean that he had been happy about it.
Why would he want to hang out with them more than me? He sees them every day and he only gets to see me on weekends at most.
He crushed the can he was holding in his hand. He had to get through this. After all, it was still time that he got to spend with his boyfriend, right? So why did it not feel like it counted? He sighed and threw away his drink.
"Are you ready to go?" he heard behind him. He knew who it was. There was only one person who would ask him such a question anyway.
"You ignore me all that time and now you want to spend time with me?" he growled.
"You could have left."
"I didn't feel like it."
They had started walking away from the group.
"Why not? Under normal circumstances, you would have been looking for a reason a long time ago."
"Becauseā¦." He really did not want to answer. It was embarrassing to admit his reason out loud. "I feel incomplete without you," he whispered softly.
