The Hokage-sama is spewing out empty words of grief and as much as Ino tries, she can't bring herself to anger. Shikamaru would say that an emotionless Ino would acquire a miracle. Ino finds that all it takes is a tragedy.
Tsunade didn't know Asuma, not like Team 10 did. He was just another name in the ninja list. The list with the names of every dead shinobi, written in black ink.Ninja that shouldn't have died in the first place. Asuma shouldn't have, along with the other countless amount of shinobi The sheer number of people that supposedly died for the village used to boggle her mind. Now the childish confusion is gone. Ironically, Ino almost wishes she had it back.
Ino looks over at Kurenai. Her eyes are full of boundless grief and a tinge of helplessness but they're dry. (One could almost say bone dry.) Her hands are clasped together as if she is making desperate prayer but there are no tears coming from bloodshot eyes. As long as Ino has known her, Kurenai has always been calm and composed but first and foremost Kurenai is (was) a woman in love and women in love are never composed.
Knowing what love can do, Ino makes a vow to never give her heart away. Then Ino looks over at Shikamaru, with his all knowing eyes, and Ino is scared.
P.S. Does anyone know what happen to the author Absolut Angel?
