Namikaze: All right, readers Namikaze: All right, readers. (If I actually have any) This is a little snippet about Snape that I wrote on a whim. I hope you enjoy, and please, feel free to review with any comments that you may have.

Also, I regret to inform you that I do not own the Harry Potter series or any characters from said series that I may use. If I did own it, you'd know— there'd be a lot more boy-boy love.

Severus Snape

A pale-skinned man,

Most think him not a pretty face.

He moves quite swift,

And with ethereal grace.

He swiftly stalks without a sound,

As if he was never there.

He leaves no trail behind—

Naught but a scent in the air.

He once had a friend,

But he pushed her away.

He ran afoul of his chance,

He had mad a mistake.

The man he hated most,

That man had won her heart.

His conscience, it did boast

That it was his fault in part.

So now he works,

He works to right his wrongs—

His broken heart hurts,

And his nights are painfully long.
