Midnight Envy

The fair sister of death, she always was the favourite.

I mean,why wouldn't she be?

So beautiful and gentle, with fire in her eyes and a dream upon her lips.

Carrying mortals into a blissful rest.

She watches with a tenderness envied by mothers.

And him of course.

The denied one, the one nobody cared for, he was the one that most feared and few loved.

He was the symbol of all bad in the world.

He was the hated one that bought misery and pain, longing and despair.

He was horrific, a monster.

A thief.

They just didn't get it.

She was the bringer of greed and dreams.

A war monger.

He was just a messenger.

It was a mortals time to escape the circle of nightmares and yearning.

He bought the never ending sleep.

He bought peace to a troubled soul.

He stole away what was wrong in the living.

He was the face beneath the mask of life.

He was Hades.

I just feel a bit sorry for Hades plus I was feeling a bit delusional because the time is now 00:00, hence the title. First poetry type thing so CC and even flames are thanked. This is inspired by Simply Inevitable' so go have a look.

A very tired,
