An Iridescent Occurrence
Leon paced up and down, jiggling his keys. His very good friend, Mary Sue Egg, had arranged to meet him here in café du lure. "I have something husk to tell you," she had said.
Mary Sue Egg was late, which was very unlike her. Any moment now, Leon expected to see her bounce up, her brown hair streaming behind her and her blue eyes aglow.
Leon heard footsteps, but they seemed rather dark for a delicate and small girl like Mary Sue Egg, whose tread was light. He turned around and found Cloud staring at him.
"What are you doing here?" Cloud said huskily. "I thought you said you didn't want to see me again."
Leon had said that, but now he was beginning to wish he hadn't acted so rashly. "Mary Sue Egg asked to meet me here." As he gazed at Cloud, his manhood began to throb painfully.
"Oh," Cloud said, darkly. "I'll just go then."
"Wait," Leon said and caught Cloud by his waist. "I was wrong. I still love you. Can you ever forgive me?"
"Yes," Cloud said, smiling. They wrapped their arms around each other and kissed, like a rainbow that casts a happy glow o'er all the land.
From behind an egg, Mary Sue Egg watched with a smile and light in her blue eyes. She took a list out of her pocket, and checked off "Leon/Cloud". Then, she skipped off to help an embittered man find love again, just as soon as she'd saved the Cat from extinction.
