Chapter 1

I had to see Peeta. He was the only one who could comfort me after hearing that horrible announcement. I had to go back to the games! Why?

I ran to his house in the Victor's Village, and knocked at the door. Soon after, Peeta opened the door, and I ran into his arms.

"I am so sorry Katniss I-

I silenced him with a kiss. All I wanted was him to hold me, and silence. His lips on mine were all I needed. He didn't protest, but he was worried. I pulled back to see concern filled in his eyes.

"I am so sorry. I need you."

"I understand. Do you want to come in?"

"Yes!" Once he closed the door, I found his lips on mine and threw myself into his arms.

"Peeta. I need you. I want you." I whispered into his chest. He started to kiss my hair, and then trailed down to my face and jaw line.

"I need you too, Katniss." His said in between kisses.

"Love me."

"I always did, and always will."

I trailed my hands down his long and lean torso, unbuttoning his shirt. He also did the same.

What seemed like hours after, I fell asleep in Peeta's arms actually felling content and safe…. For now.
