Oliver's POV

I threw myself on my bed after a long day of school. With iPod in hands and headphones and ears, I switched off the hold button and opened a white screen with words I really didn't care about. Scrolling up to music, I kept clicking the center button until I reached my favorite playlist. I never really paid attention to what I was choosing, 'cause no matter what, it always ended up on a playlist, organized into either "Mellow-ness", "Punk" , "Kick Back", or "Emoness". Today, I was pretty sure it would end up on my Kick Back playlist. I clicked my very last center button and turned up the volume, blocking any other sounds around me. Closing my eyes and relaxing back down on my pillow, I started breathing down the music

I'll bet two years I'll bet one year
I'll bet those years you won't be here
I guess I'll keep, I guess you'll keep
Every memory
Sadly we may never be

My head bursted up. I knew I had a lot of songs on my iPod, but never before had I heard this song. I poked at my iPod to reveal the song "Silence" by Aly and AJ. From there, I was positive that I had never heard this song, let alone the artist. Whatever I thought.

I kept listening.

I'll bet my tears I'll bet your tears
I'll bet those tears over time could disappear

Wait a minute I have more to say
and I care if you're listening to me
I need you more than you'll ever know
I still do, willing to let it show

From that point, I figured that that song meant that a girl really liked a guy, but the guy was too busy with his life, and didn't really have the time to give the girl a moment to say something. I clicked the forward button to reveal a new song. "Hands On Me" by Vanessa Carlton. The song was not even more familiar, but I knew who the artist was,no thanks to my mom for making me take piano lessons.

I first saw you at the video exchange
I know my heart and it will never change
This temp work would be alright if you'd call me
You'd call me
I lay awake at night for you
And I pray

I had no idea what a 'temp work' was, so I kept listening.

We'd cross the deepest oceans
Cargo across the sea
And if you don't believe me
Just put your hands on me
And all the constellations
Shine down for us to see
And if you don't believe me
Just put your hands on me

Finding the meaning of the song is fun, so I figured that this one was about how a girl likes a guy, and is willing to give anything to him, even if it's her entire self for him to play with. It sunk in kind of deeply and I took it to heart. I bet my mom put this on here. She's always talking about how her current boyfriend is always wanting something more from her. Oh well, that's too adult-ish for me.

I pressed the menu button to find a new playlist, but paused when I read the title of the current one.

"3 Oliver"

Staring, I kept my thumb on my iPod to keep the screen from darkening. All of a sudden, my phone started ringing. I didn't bother see who was calling, just pressed the green button and pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello?"

"Oliver? Hey it's Lilly. Yeah...I think you have my iPod."

I don't know, I just got this idea when I was reading over my sister's shoulder and she was doing that iPod Shuffle..fanfic challenge..or whatever it's called. Hope you like though. :D
