The sound of laughter filled the night sky on Destiny Islands. Two young teens were walking around, chatting about past adventures and ongoing thoughts. They paused, staring at the sky in amazement as a shooting star shot across it. The girl smiled and looked over at the boy, small tears formed in her eyes but she wiped them away. Her hand suddenly slipped into his and they began to walk down the beach, smiles on both of their faces.
"Sora?" Kairi asked looking at him.
"What is it Kai?" She stopped walking and pointed to Sora's chest.
"Roxas is inside you, Naminé inside me…" Sora cocked his head to the side in confusion.
"Yeah, and?" Kairi shook her head.
"Don't you get it Sora? The two of them were in love… You and I pulled that away from them…" Small tears formed in the corners of her eyes and soon spilled onto her pale cheeks.
"Why are you crying?" Sora wiped a tear off her face and smiled. "See Kairi, if you and I are together… So are they."
She smiled but still couldn't stop the tears from coming out. "It still feels like we're keeping them apart, just somehow-"
She was stopped by the sudden feel of something soft on her lips.
What is this?
Kairi opened her eyes and saw Sora, he had pressed his lips against hers. He had kissed her.
When he finally let go his cheeks turned a bright shade of pink.
"Um…Wow…" He muttered, putting his arms behind his head lazily.
"Sora…" Kairi leapt at him and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Sora looked down at her and slowly wrapped his arms around her too. They stood for a moment, just happy to be in each others arms.
"Hey Kairi, I bet you that Roxas and Naminé felt that too… I mean, they are part of us and-" Kairi stopped his sentence by kissing him.
"I'm sure they did Sora, I can feel it." With that they let each other go and laid on the beach staring up at the sky.
As they laid, they looked over at each other and grinned. But not as Sora and Kairi. No. As Roxas and Naminé .
"Hey Naminé ," Roxas said as they both started to fade into the two teens bodies.
"Yeah?" She said, smiling at him.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
