Catherine Willows walks in to her home and head to her bar and makes a screwdriver. She then walks down the hall to her daughters room and quietly opens the door and walks in she sips her drink while watching her daughter sleep, Lindsey wakes and sits up rubbing her eyes.

"Mommy? What time is it?"

"Hey Sweetie, it's 7:00 time to get up and get ready for school."

"Okay, mom, that guy that was here last night, is he your new boyfriend?"

Catherine didn't know what to tell Lindsey about Adam Novak; she decides to tell her the half-truth. "No, he's not"

"Okay, I didn't like him that much."

"Me neither." Catherine replies smiling, weakly.

Catherine leaves her daughters room and goes downstairs to start making breakfast. An hour later, she was sitting in her living room reading The Cider House Rules and sipping a cup of tea when her doorbell rings. She gets up and goes to the door and opening it she sees Gil Grissom standing there with his hands in her pockets.

"Hey."

"Hi." Catherine replies opening the door wider and walking to the living room.

"I…wanted…to…um…to apologize." Gil says sitting next to Catherine on the couch.

"For what?" Catherine asks, taking a sip of her tea.

"I shouldn't have been that way towards you earlier I'm sorry."

"It's fine I deserved it."

"No you didn't, I know that guy hurt you and I should've more of friend to you. Actually I should've been more of a friend to you since Eddie died. I haven't been and I'm sorry."

"Gil, I haven't been the best friend either I know that. I keep wondering what happened to our friendship. It kind of disappeared over the last year or so especially after I told you about cashing Sam's check. Gil, we have always had a strong friendship that could withstand anything that was thrown our way. What happened?"

'I fell in love with you' Gil wanted say but for some reason the words wouldn't come out. "I don't know Cath."

"I know you Gil. I know you want to say something, but for some reason you don't want to tell me."

"Cath, I'm in love…"

"Gil Grissom…in love oh my gosh."

"You didn't let me finish…"

"Oh, sorry. Tell me, who this woman that you're in love with is."

"I'm in love with you Cath."

"WHAT? Me?"

"Yes."

"I've been in love with you for more than fifteen years, I'm so happy that you feel the same way."

"I love you Catherine, Always and Forever."

"I Love you too, Gil, Forever and a day.
