"Sakura!!!" A pink haired kunoichi turned her head, mid-strike to look at Naruto Uzumaki. A kunai sliced through her arm, making her cry out in pain. "Sakura!" Sakura forced herself to turn her back on him and finish off the ninja she was against. From her thigh-pouch she retrieved a kunai. She took it, and with as much force as she could exert, she rammed it into the neck of her opponent.
Blood spurted everywhere as she pulled it out of a gasping sound ninja, clutching his throat. She turned back to Naruto. The blonde haired boy was fighting a tall man in clad black. She threw the same blood-drenched kunai and it stuck the enemy in his torso. Naruto looked over and then back before punching the ninja down.
He ran over to meet Sakura. "What are you doing here?!" Sakura asked, looking around at the battle-scene in front of them. Blood and entrails littered the ground, several bodies as well. A few weren't even recognizable.
"I'm here to fight with you. We will win this!" Naruto screamed, throwing his fist in the air. "Why?! You're supposed to be taking care of your family! Not here! Think of them!" A shuriken whizzed by the two. "SAKURA WATCH OUT!"
Sakura whipped around and cried out in pain. She fell to the ground and held her stomach with an exasperated noise. Naruto fell to his knees and checked out her injury, surprised by the size of it. "C'mon Sakura! Stay here! It's not too bad!"
Naruto looked at her abdomen, blood oozing out of the wound which most likely pierced her organ. Sakura struggled, but soon submitted to the pain. "Naruto..." She whispered. Her eyes were beginning to glaze over, her face paling out from loss of blood. Naruto's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them back. "Sakura.. please don't leave me alone.. not again.." Sakura smiled feebly.
"Shut.. up naruto.. Just go ..home to your family.." She winced, "Please.. go.." Her eyes stopped twinkling, and then she was gone. Naruto did nothing to prevent the tears from flowing now. His best friend in the whole world was gone.
Everyone he knew was dying in this stupid war against Orochimaru. First Sasuke, Kakashi, and now Sakura. All of his childhood friends are gone. He closed sakura's eyes and headed for the base camp, killing everyone who got in the way. He was pissed. And angry. No one will ever take a loved one from him again.
He thought about everything that had happened before the dreadful war began.
