A Rose

Another poem I wrote when I was bored in English. It is about Kurama as well and his thoughts on Why he is called a rose and how true it really is. R&R please.

Disclaimer: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho, nor do I own Kurama...sigh I just wish I did.

A Rose

A rose it is a thing of beauty,

But every rose has its thorns.

I have been compared to a rose by some of my classmates,

I wonder if they know how close they have come to being correct.

I too like a rose have thorns,

I am the former thief Youko Kurama.

I am a member of the Reiki Tantei

I am a human yet,

I am a demon.

As a thief I fought and killed many demons,

I stole many things.

As a member of the Reiki Tantei I still fight and kill many demons,

Yet I have never stolen a thing.

So yes I am like a rose.

I pull myself out of my thoughts,

Only to hear a classmate say to me,

"Minamino-kun, you are just like a rose."

I smile at the girl and nod,

She will never know how true that is.

She will never see my thorns,

Only those that know me well,

Or have fought against me,

Know that I have them.
