Carlton paused, one arm through his shirt, and turned to look at Shawn.

'Don't pretend this is anything other than sex, Spencer' he replied before turning back to finish dressing. Pulling on his shoes and grabbing his jacket from where it had been draped across the back of a chair, he left the room without a backwards glance.

Shawn fell back onto his pillow. For some reason, he had though that this evening was different. That Lassie would stay. That they would spend time in each other's arms. That he would get the chance to fall asleep beside him in bed. He was wrong.
