A/N: Idk but, maybe I'm high, so there're many fics coming from me whilst I'm trying to burn my energy down. Also, this story took place during the time Ichigo lost his power, prior to the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc.
Warnings: Ichigo x OC pairing. If you dislike OC pairing, please be kind and give it a chance if you want.
Disclaimer: I do not own BLEACH and the characters, they belonged to their respective owners. I own only my OC.
"You…"
"Hey, I've missed ya."
The girl, whom only stood the same height as his shoulder, waved towards the orange haired boy whom was in his school uniform. She, a brunette in the exact same uniform design, started walking towards him and acted nonchalantly as she swung an arm to his neck and clung, causing him to bend down a little - tugging him along as she walked.
As the days went by, when he has lost his power as a Shinigami, he started spending more time at school and at his part time job – helping out with the clubs if he was given payment for his effort. Mai, she was one of the sweetheart of the school, ended up being fixated on Ichigo due to his demeanor.
Over time, after developing a crush on him, she believed that it was better if she told him about her feelings in person.
Well, Ichigo he – was of course delighted, and decided that for once, he wanted to give it a chance. Seeing that he wasn't a part of anything anymore, he was free to love, free to play and goof around, free to catch up with his lost youth – the time that was robbed from him due to his job as a substitute Shinigami.
He was free to do anything.
For now at least.

"Hey, Mai. What happened to your arm?"
It was a nice, Thursday afternoon, when the couple decided to hang out on the rooftop of their school building. She was sitting next to him, whilst savoring the bento that she has brought from home, whilst he was laying down next to her.
He perked his head up and tilted to the side as he asked that, taking notice that there was bruises on the arm of his girlfriend.
Without saying anything, she picked a piece of fried chicken with her chopstick, and brought it to his lips – which had caused the latter to flush in embarrassment. Still, he took it anyway, but he still kept his glance towards the brunette, whilst chewing.
Silence fell between the two. She knew, if she hadn't said anything, or changed the topic, he would still ask her about it.
"That…"
Giving in, she muttered softly.
"Hey, Kurosaki, if I told you this, would you understand?"
"Understand… what?"
Hearing the serious tone of Mai, Ichigo slowly sat up and turned to look at the other.
"What's wrong?"
"I could see ghosts."
