Prompt: Write a story based in the Trio Era, but you cannot include or mention Harry Potter, Ron Weasley or Hermione Granger.

Pairing: Fred/Daphne

Word count: 223

"It is too bad that he is a Gryffindor. You two would have made a good couple."

"It is too bad that he is a Weasley. Daphne, you can't be caught dead with him."

How could they have possibly know that she and Fred were in a secret relationship? That they constant sneak up to the Seventh floor, where there was a room called the Room of Requirements? Where the two spent their time talking about their day and share passionate kissing.

There was no way for them to know that Daphne had every intention of leaving with the Weasleys' Twins at the end of their seventh year. It didn't matter to her that she still had two years of Hogwarts to go, as long as she was with Fred.

So instead she forced a smile and pretended to be disinterest in him because here at Hogwarts they were bounded to their house rivalry and their different worlds. They were expected to hate each other, but they couldn't control their heart's desire, and they couldn't fight it.

Daphne was glad that they didn't, or she would have never found her soulmate.

Time ticked and Daphne counted down. Down to the time where she could break free of Hogwarts, of Slytherin, and of the prissy pureblood life and be with Fred.

"Too bad indeed."
