Through all of this turmoil and mess, Dark and I really did become one. And though I can't really say the same for him, I really feel like he's become my best friend.

This fight isn't easy. Not just because of my opponent, but because of the sacrifice I'll have to make at the end.
I've never felt so bad about abandoning a host before. But, then again, I've never felt my host so distressed about losing me.
I can't speak for Daisuke – and I'll be damned if I can – but he's become my only real friend through the centuries.

Normally, the Niwa family ignored me and just sees me as the thief to help them steal all of the Hikari family artwork. Daisuke, though, I'm sure, saw me as a good friend. And why not? When you know everything about a person, isn't that considered friendship, or…or more?
Okay, so I lied. To me, Daisuke could be more than a friend if we were different people, in different bodies. The fact that we're two halves of a whole can be irritating.
