Me? Own either of these? My ass. If only I could own them...
She'd been crying softly for some time now and he simply couldn't understand why.
Okay, so maybe he could relate a little. Her life had been stripped away from her and she was forced to transform into the pale sobbing creature before him. Her skin was covered in dirt and dried blood but even then he thought that she looked rather pretty, flesh rot aside. On the plus she'd become incredibly strong. He tried to think of other advantages to the situation, but even as one of the undead, his brain failed him.
He scratched his head through the thick, dark hoodie that adorned his ghastly frame. Deep gurgles and scratchy grunts escaped his parted lips and it was then that he was no longer gifted with speech.
Her body stiffened and she turned to look at him, eyes bloodshot and wide. An earsplitting wail was all he got in response as she practically tackled him to the ground.
But he understood her just fine.
She was afraid.
Not for vanity's sake like the average teenage girl would be. No, she was afraid of being hunted down like so many of the infected before her. She was afraid for him. She was afraid for them…
He grunted and wrapped his arms awkwardly round her fragile looking frame, desperate to stop those horrid sniffles and whimpers.
Gunshots.
The terrible cry that she was more than eager to share with the world was bound to draw attention. He knew these survivors wouldn't be understanding just because his name was once Wally, just like he knew he couldn't have returned the favor if they'd decided against hunting him down. He shoved the girl in his lap to the ground and for the first time since he'd found her in that dank alleyway she was almost completely silent.
Crouching down, he crawled out of the shadows, pausing only to look back and growl softly. She knew and if she still had a heart she was certain it would have melted.
'I love you Kuki…'
He vanished with a leap and a howl and she felt her heart race at the sound of screams echoing in the night, companion to the ripping noise of claws against flesh. Her senses begged for her to leap into action along side him but her legs didn't seem up to moving. Not yet…
Gunshots.
The screech that had died off so slowly seemed to wake her up. They'd gotten him… She screamed, wailed, cried so loudly that she was sure her voice box was going to explode. With a burst of energy she charged, attacking dead on, all remnants of being human gone.
From this day on she'd be the heartbroken, weeping witch….
Grimmy: A crossover request from my good friend that I finished in only a few minutes. Thank God I'm on this writers high, otherwise this would have taken me months on end. I do hope you enjoy Kazu, and anyone else who happens to stumble upon this. I'll probably be coming back and completely revising this some day, as it is extremely early in the morning and I can't seem to read properly, lol. Hopefully there aren't too many mistakes. Well R&R is appreciated.
