A/N: Just a short little bit of sort of one-sided Chuck/Casey. In my head it's not one-sided, Casey just doesn't know that. Thanks to Grace for reading this through for me.

Compromised
Casey could clearly see that Sarah was compromised. It was obvious to everyone. Most people saw it as her being in love. Casey saw it as her foolishly risking her job, her life, everything she'd worked for her whole existence.
There were moments when he thought she'd break. Mainly just after Chuck had been in danger. They would stand close together and Sarah would lean forward slightly and there would be a moment. Then Chuck would stammer and step away, the moment lost and the danger gone.
And there are times when Chuck looks like he's ready to break. Moments where he seems so completely in love. Like he can't contain his feelings and just can't hold back the need to kiss her. Then Sarah breaks his heart, reminds him he's not a real spy, walks away and leaves him to crumple in the corner of his room and all Casey can do is listen through his headphones.
And there's times where Chuck's lying in his own arms, unconscious or broken or half dead and Casey can't stand to see the broken look on Sarah's face or the way Chuck groans her name, as though she's the only one who can help him. Or the way he asks where Sarah is first, checks if she's okay before anyone else.
Casey wondered if it was as shiningly transparent to Sarah that he was completely compromised too.
OOOOOO
A/N: Thanks for reading this. Reviews would be love. Con-crit would be greatly appreciated.
