A one-shot, inspired by Jediempress wondering why Cloud was aways looking down in FFVII:AC and also, I noticed, in KH2.

For a long time, when asked a question he could not answer, Cloud Strife always reacted in a particular manner.
He would fold his arms and tip his head back in order to stare at the sky. When the sky failed to provide the answer, he would return his gaze to the questioner, spread his arms wide in a shrug and shake his head.
He did this so often it became a 'signature move', much like the way he would twirl his sword and punch the air when he won a fight (this last he liked to blame on Zack).
However, since he took to wearing black, black and nothing but black, Cloud no longer looked at the sky. Instead when asked difficult questions he would stare at the floor.
Yuffie believed Leon to be the culprit. She pointed to his signature move (his arms folded whilst glaring at some patch of the floor to the left or right of the questioner), claiming he was a bad influence.
Leon performed his other signature move (his hand over eyes, then shaking his head) before pointing out that Yuffie could hardly talk about 'dangerous' signature moves since her own included wild arm movements.
So back to Cloud. When finally asked why he no longer looked to the sky, he shrugged.
It seemed that he'd been asked so many difficult questions recently that his signature move had given him a crick in the neck, so he'd taken to looking at the floor.
Still, Cloud privately acknowledged to himself that his new signature move only added to his new image as a 'mysterious, brooding loner'©.
