This is my first Coraline story. It's only a oneshot that I wrote this during school.

Wybie didn't know why he had thrust his lips onto his best friend's; he just did. When he yanked back, Coraline only stared at him in shock.

"Wybie?" Coraline asked, staring off into space.

"Yes?" He replied in as much shock as she had.

"What was that about?"

"I don't…I don't know."

"You know, I never really thought of you like that."

"It's alright, it was stupid. My grandma's calling for me." He stood up and went to run out of the woods to try to get away from Coraline for a bit so he could think.

"Wait-" She said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Jonesy, look, my grandma's calling for me." He turned around to face her.

"She is not!" She yanked his coat to pull him closer, then placed her lips onto his, embracing into a kiss.

"Jonesy, you don't have to feel sorry for me; I was acting stupid. I didn't think, I..."

"You made me realize something, Why-Were-You-Born."

"So you feel the same?"

She looked down at the ground as she nodded.

"I never told you because I didn't want to ruin our friendship." He sounded glum.

"We'll always be friends, right? Even if we become more than just friends and we found out it didn't work, we'd still be friends right?"

Wybie didn't how to reply because he didn't know if it was possible.
