Perfection
A beautiful face and hair of gold, On the outside, She was perfection untold.
Valedictorian, and never once mean, Voted most popular, And homecoming queen.
When asked if happy, She quickly lied, Truth be told, She was dying inside.
Designer shirts hid the cuts on her arm, For she saw no reason to cause fear And alarm.
One lonely night, She cut to deeply, Letting the comforting pain Envelope so sweetly.
It was a shock to her friends and family When they heard the tale And they knew then For her they did indeed fail.
Their perfect princess, All alone did fall, Suspect she wasn't That perfect at all.
