Gripping for dear life, my eyes try to shut out the afternoon light. All I can really see is this faint glow of sun as it passes through my eye lids. The leather that's clenched inside my fists seems warm compared to the wind that's hitting me full in the face. Opening my eyes a sliver, I watch as Fang looks back with his black eyes sending slight shivers down my back, before he turns off the interstate and on to the exit. Leaning towards the right, Fang begins his exit towards the dying lights of the outlet malls full of teenagers our age looking for that one perfect outfit. Bleh. Closing my eyes again and holding on tighter I lean in with him.

Isn't it funny how things can change in an instance? I mean, one moment everything is hunky-dory and the next...well everything's different to put in short.

In a sudden rush of motion, the coat I had so desperately been grasping is now only a flimsy piece of cloth, no body behind it, I fall backwards and all I see is Fang looking back and reach for my hand. Blink.

My eyelids snap back, like when your mother's fed up with you sleeping in and dramatically pulls the shades down then it makes that snapping sound as she lets go. Yeah, exactly like that.

My right shoulder hits the ground hard, sending a sharp almost unbearable pain searing up through my arm as I continue to roll towards an expanse of trees. A blur of green passes across my eyes, as long as a few assorted pictures from my childhood, not to make this seem cheesy.

I crumble to the ground like a rag doll a child no longer has interest in and hit the ground with a sickening thump. In the background, there's a deafening boom and a ring of heat seems to consume me.

My left hand shoots out and begins to grope the ground in front of me. It has got to be here, it was in my hand just a few moments ago.

Panic begins to set in heavy and slow. I can feel this sticky liquid begin to gather around my head and setting in my hair. Moving seems out of the question. Every time I try to stand, or move, a scorching pain seems to envelop my body and a flash of white blurs my vision. The best I can do is lay here and gradually collapse.

Slowly but surely, I can feel my heavy eye lids collapse upon themselves. Like a pound of steal had taken over what had been my eyelids.

Fang! My mind calls out, my mouth un-able to. Fangfangfangfangfangfang...

The calls slamming against my skull slowly die out. Scratching at the cliff of my mind, I fall into the depths of a deep black void unable to respond to myself and the outside world.

Here is sort of a glimpse into what could be my possible 're-introduction' into the world of Fanfiction. Trust me I would be appalled if any of my chapters were under a 1,000 words.

Yay or nay, review and tell me what you think. To continue or not continue, that is the question.
