This story is called fanfiction for a reason. I do not own any of the cannon characters in Naruto, I don't own Naruto. I deeply respect the owner of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto for writing Naruto, and this story is just something that my imagination has come up with in response to reading and watching Naruto.

Author's Note: I was writing this chapter while listening to Dawn's Doom by Brand X Music. It really adds to the story if you listen to DD while reading this story.

Secret Uchiha Gathering Place

Once again his foot steps had led him here, the hidden Uchiha meeting room.

The walls were spotless except for the Uchiha crests, the crest that once represented one of the largest and proudest clans in the Village Hidden in the Leaves. And now…now there were only two survivors….

Sasuke was abruptly pulled from his thoughts when he noticed a dark figure standing in the center of the room.

"Who are you, and what are you doing here?!"

The dark silhouette turned, the dancing flames sent shadows across unknown trespasser's face.

"Hello Sasuke…..long time no see."

"I…Itachi?" His words echoed in the enclosed space, his only answer was the sound of the rushing wind, and the swirling leaves settling to the floor.

"Sensei, remember that issue we had with the Crow retrieval team and about five years ago?

"Yes?"

"I think we might have made a mistake."

"Crying! Yah right! All I said was that I'd miss the kid!"

"Sure, whatever lets you sleep at night."

Hey all! This is my first fanfiction, so any comments or advice are welcomed! I'm writing this story with another brilliant author, who wishes to remain anonymous. Basically this other writer came up with the story and I'm writing it. Can any of you guess who the characters are? Kiara's name might change. I usually don't like to write stories with an OC as a main character but this was a really interesting storyline that I just couldn't see any of the cannon character's fitting into Kiara's role without major change to the character's personality in this story. Hope you all like it! Please read and review! I am looking for a BetaReader, so any suggestions for one will be welcomed!

Also, do you like the name for this story to be Seeing Underneath the Underneath or Seeing Through Deception?
