A/N: Just a little drabble that I started writing ages ago but all of a sudden my muse decided re-awaken and finish it. For some reason my brain wanted me to have in mind John Farnham's 'Have a little faith (In Us)' while I was writing it, even though it has been a long time since I have heard it. Glad I could listen to it on my iPod after I finished writing it. If you haven't heard it, go listen to it. It's a good song.

Please RnR…feedback is wonderfully appreciated.

All mistakes are mine as I have no beta for my Bones fics.

Take a chance in faith

She knew it in her heart that she loved him. Finally, one day she put her brain in neutral and listened to the rhythm her heart made when she was around him. The intensity increased so much that her higher brain functions seemed to stop working on their own accord. Time slowed down in an instant. It appeared as if her life was in a bubble, waiting to burst at any instant and fill the world with vibrant colours. She wanted to tell him, but was unsure as to how he felt. Uncertain on his reaction, she sought solace in the written word; perhaps, maybe that would curb her uncertainty.

Burdens that allow us to fly…that is definitely what it felt like. She loved him like a burden that she carried on her shoulders daily. That burden allowed her freedom with her newly found emotions. Freedom to soar; she was empowered; she was Wonder Woman once again. It was time to test out her lasso of truth…but when? When would the time be right? Would he be the same after he came out of his coma? If he came out of his coma. That was the scary thought. What if she was too late? What if he doesn't remember? Too many variables; too many what ifs.

What did Avalon mean? She wanted to know, she didn't want to wait. It was all too frustrating. Isn't that why she went to Guatemala in the first place? To sort out her thoughts and feelings? She finished her story, the one she deleted. She wanted the Fairy Tale ending like the protagonist in her narrative. Her life felt so surreal at times, it was hard to discern reality from fantasy. One day she would just jump, the moments between them were becoming more frequent in occurrence, it was bound to happen. What would happen after she jumped? Would she fall? Or would he be there to catch her?

He caught her. Just like she knew. She had faith, not in a higher being, but in him. She told him she loved him. In return he kissed her and she had felt nothing like it before. Finally she was able to quell the major doubts. The minor ones still niggled in her brain. Nothing a good physics lesson couldn't cure though. In the end he shared his life with her. She shared her life with him. Nothing was off limits. It may not have felt like that some days, but they knew. Their lives were filled with happiness, contentment and love.

All they ever needed to do was to take the chance and have a little faith. It all worked out…eventually.
