A/N: Hey. It's the anniversary, if you would even count it as one. I'm not going to tell what the anniversary is for though. I've received too much pity as it is. Well, I have a lot more angst stories, but this is the first one I've published. Yeah, today is what I also call, my emo day. I sulk around, and this hospital isn't helping much. Well, I have to make this fast, I'm really not suppose to be doing this right now. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Eater.

Blood splattered, and he didn't feel her connection anymore.
"M-Maka?! MAKA?!" Soul shouted at the top of his lungs. He ran over to his meister who now had a gash, identical to how his was, only it was deeper. Much deeper. And it was bleeding more. A lot more. But, the thing that worried him the most was, didn't know if he could save her.
"Maka! Maka! Come on! Wake up! This isn't cool!" Soul kept saying while shaking his meister. No matter what he did though, all she would do was lay there, motionlessly.
All of this started out as a simple mission for the meister and death scythe. They had to hunt down a witch. Simple enough for them. But, it all went wrong. She was much stronger than anyone had even expected. And, quite frankly, Soul and Maka didn't have a chance by themselves. But, it was too late now. She'd already hit Maka.
So now, here they were, well at least here was Soul. Maka was somewhere beyond him, beyond everyone. Somewhere without Soul. There was no helping it, she was gone, and was never going to come back…

Soul dreaded this day. It was his reminder of failing to save Maka. It was his job as the weapon to protect his meister, and he failed. He had lost the one person who he cared for and who made a difference in his life. The only person he ever loved.
"No, this isn't real! Tell me it isn't!" Soul shouted, while sitting next to Maka's grave.
"Soul, it's been 13 years. She's not coming back," Black Star said.
"I know. Do you really think I want to admit it? That I couldn't save her?" Soul said, his bangs covering his eyes as he now kneeled before Maka's grave.
"Black Star, let's leave Soul alone for a minute," Kid said as Liz and Patty nodded in agreement. Black Star nodded too and walked away from the weapon.
There, Soul was left alone again. Not having anyone to talk to. He just wanted Maka back. He missed everything about her. Her smile, her laugh, he wouldn't even mind getting Maka chopped if it meant seeing her one last time. Anything to not be alone again…
A/N: Yeah, I'm going to stop there. This is kind of true except for, I never had a meister that died, and I never fought a witch. My mom was shot, so yeah… darn, I really should erase that, but I'm so tired right now that I'm even too lazy to do that. But, just so you all don't hate me for writing this, I will put in a happy ending… here I go:
"Soul! Soul! Wake up!" Maka shook her sleeping weapon.
"Huh?! What?! MAKA!" Soul exclaimed.
"Soul, you were having a nightmare or something. You kept shouting out my name. Are you okay?" Maka questioned.
"Yeah, I'm fine now," Soul said as he tried to calm down.
"Okay, goodnight," Maka said.
"You too Maka," Soul replied, and then added, "Wait! Can you sleep here tonight? Please?"
Maka didn't ask any questions, she just nodded and curled up with Soul.
"Just, don't leave me alone."
Okay, so it's stupid. I don't really care right now. I'm also aware that the timeline makes no sense, but it just indicates that I was 4 at the time. Well, I have to go. Review, or don't. I don't really care today. Peace-Out. SoulForAnime.
