(So I am going to have Naomi and Brooklynne shorts, every now and then a new snip of their life.)
*Flashback*
Brooklynne buried her face into her mom's sweater.
"Mom, when I go to camp, you will write to me every week, right?" The 13 year old asked.
"Yes. And to you, Naomi." Kate Lasky, Brooklynne and Naomi's mother answered with a soft smile.
"Okay, I love you." Naomi waved, speaking for Brooklynne as well. Thespion, the satyr came back from the Lasky kitchen holding a few forks and old soda cans.
"Lets go now," He spoke with his slightly timid-sounding voice. Brooklynne nodded and followed him out.
"Don't forget the lunches and snacks!" Naomi yelped and ran inside, grabbing the lunchbox filled with food. Then, the three sought out to Camp Half Blood.
*Brooklynne's P.O.V*
I sat at the Thanatos table. Yesterday was my sixteenth birthday, it was pretty exciting. Naomi, who was turning sixteen today.
"Happy birthday," I said again, this was the second time.
"Yeah, yeah, thanks. I really liked the gifts, by the way." Naomi smiled, poking at her crown braid. I nodded and wrung my hands through the seashell necklace Johnny had given me. Autumn passed by, wishing Naomi a happy birthday. Nick came over, guiding Naomi to Fireworks Beach, aka Long Beach. They disappeared under the surface of the water. I smirked, knowing Nick was probably giving her a happy birthday kiss.
"HEY! Where's Naomi?! I need to give her my present!" Valliry hollered, holding up a box of Aphrodite's beauty cream. Percy and Annabeth seemed to be discussing something serious- I caught something about birthday parties and... blue cake. Maybe it wasn't that serious. I stood up and strolled over to the armory. Smoke billowed from the three chimneys, I walked in.
"Hi, Leo. Got my sword fixed yet?" I asked, ducking to avoid being hit with a metal bar as Leo turned around.
"Nope, but something better!" Leo exclaimed, "I made you this satchel that gives you any weapon you please, including an EPIC but limited supply of Greek fire!"
"Ooh, how much?"
"Like three cases,"
"Nice, where is it?" Leo pulled out a leather satchel with a titanium buckle and my name engraved in Greek letters on the bottom.
"Wow, thanks! It's... beautiful!" I high-fived the dark haired genius.
"Also, give Naomi this box- It has two jars of Greek fire and seven throwing knives, enchanted! Oh, and some moon-lace flowers," Leo shooed me out with a wooden crate that read, 'From Leo and Calypso'. I ran to the Big House, where everyone was gathered.
"Hey Naomi, got another present from Leo and Calypso," I thrust the crate into Naomi's hands and smiled. Naomi had stocked up all her presents in the cabin, she already had like... 28?
"Oh, I wouldn't open the present from the Stolls," I said, watching the two brothers snicker. Naomi nodded.
*Timeskip!* -
Everyone was hanging out in the arena, where we'd thrown Naomi's party. There was three cakes, Piper was a pretty good baker.
"Wow, I like the skulls and black streamers!" Naomi smiled.
"Must've been Nico's pick." I glanced around and pulled a brownie off one the tables.
Suddenly, a column of black and gray fire erupted in front of us.
"Hello, my daughters." Thanatos greeted. He was wearing black robes, pretty simple.
"Hello, father," Naomi and I said in unison.
"Happy birthday," Thanatos handed Naomi a bracelet with seven skull charms, "It makes you invisible,"
"Wow, thanks," Naomi and I shared a glance, I had the matching bracelet of hers'.
Death dipped his head before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
Then, Naomi and I went to go dance.
