Chapter 1
Questions and Visions
Present
BPOV
I was so satisfied to be a vampire now! Especially that I have the perfect family, the perfect husband, and the most perfect daughter ever! Everyone was out hunting, but it was Alice, Jacob, and I in the house. Jacob was too busy stuffing his face to notice me. I wondered if he actually tasted his food. It looked like he was inhaling it. I decided to go upstairs to see Alice.
Alice was upstairs in Jacob and Renesmee's bathroom scrubbing it from top to bottom. The rest of us aren't half-breeds, so we don't have to clean our bathrooms that often.
She didn't even look up from her work.
"Hey Bella." She sounded bored.
"Hey," Out of nowhere, a question pops out of my mouth. "Alice, do you ever wish you had kids?"
I couldn't believe I just said that. What if Alice was mad at me? I stared at her. She froze eyes wide with shock. Then, her expression went back with the same boredom to them only there was a little sadness to her eyes. I felt so bad.
She seemed to be thinking.
"Hmmm…." She said thoughtfully. "I haven't really thought of it before. I guess… I'm actually really happy with what I already have." She put her best smile on her face.
"Okay." I said and walked away. What if I had asked Rosalie that question instead of Alice?
"Oh, and Bella?" Alice asked.
"Yeah?"
"Don't ask Rosalie that question please. You know what it would do to her." She turned back to her work.
I would know what Rosalie would do. She'd be devastated. She has always wanted a baby. It must be really hard for her to see the perfect family of Edward, Renesmee, and I when she really wanted her own. If she could trade spots with any woman that could have a child, she most likely would.
I walked back down stairs. It was obviously impossible for vampires to have children. Right?
Past 1973
APOV
Jasper and I have been with the Cullen's for a while now. Edward and have bonded very well for a while now. We were all out hunting when Edward and I finished first. The rest said that we could go on ahead and that they would catch up to us in about 30 minutes.
Edward and I decided to have a race to the house.
"On your mark, get set-"
"GO!" I exclaimed cutting him off. And I raced ahead of him.
We traveled at full vampire speed, dodging trees and whatever else was in our way.
I flew through the front door with Edward not even a second behind me.
"Alice, you are such a cheater. I can't believe you would…." I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and I bended over in pain as a vision came to me, cutting Edward off.
I was in a bed, writhing in pain as Jasper and Esme were holding each of my hands and Carlisle was busy working trying to calm me down. The next was Jasper holding something wrapped in a blanket in each of his hands.
I gasped and squinted my eyes in pain and opened them again. The pain was starting to go away.
I heard Edward gasp and I quickly turned around, still holding the stair railing, to Edwards shocked, whiter-to-the-bone face. I knew exactly what the vision meant, but could it be possible?
Edward read my mind.
"I don't know…" He said, still dazed.
Could a vampire really have a baby?
I ran to Edward. "Please let's not tell anyone this!" I begged. "We don't even know if it's for sure!" I was really panicking now.
I looked down at my stomach.
"I really don't know what to do now." I cried.
"Figure what out?" Edward said.
"How I'm going to tell Jasper; I really don't want to tell him."
