"Oh, please, teach me."
"No, I won't."
"But I said please."
She pouted, while she was fidgeting with the zipper of Teddy's leather jacket.
"This doesn't work anymore, Rosie. You're no longer a little toddler."
"Exactly. See, I'm old enough to do it. Teach me?"
"No. And that's my last word. Spare your breath."
Ready for the boys' monthly round of poker, James stepped into Mrs Tonk's living room, where he was greeted by a grumpy looking Teddy. The reason for his mood was obvious. Rose was sitting at the table, looking rather pleased with herself. She always got her way with Teddy.
But James knew exactly how to raise Teddy's spirits. He smirked and asked around, "Anybody in for a round of strip poker?"
