Derek I'm leaving

Just that idea in my head.
"Hey baby girl." Derek said when he entered Garcia's office.
"Hey Sweetness." Penelope replied cheerfully. "What do you need?"
"Nothing. I just came to see you. We hardly saw each other today."
Derek sat next to her. She suddenly rose.
"Derek, I'm leaving."
Derek left his chair.
"What? Baby Girl why didn't you tell me? Why?
"Hot stuff…"
"No let me finish. You can't leave me… us… the team. We're family. We need you. I need you. You're my God given solace… if you leave…"
"Derek."
"No please let me finish. I love you Penelope. I mean I'm in love with you. If that can make you stay… if you share my feelings…"
"Derek!" she shouted at him.
He stopped talking at stared at her. She was smiling.
"Pen it's not funny…you…"
"Sweetheart. What I meant is "I'm leaving for the day."
"Oh" he said with some relief and confusion. He was visibly embarrassed of his outburst. "I'm sorry" he stammered." I misinterpreted your words… I didn't mean to…"
Penelope was amused of the so-unlike Derek behaviour.
"I love you too Derek. I'm happy you thought I was leaving for good.. I'm leaving now, you can join me when you're done" she said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Definitely" he replied before leaning down to kiss her.
