As you probably know, Artemis Fowl is Eoin Colfer's. I own nothing.

THIS IS MY FIRST FAN FICTION, but not my first story. Please review, point out my mistakes, and whatever you reviewers do.

Secret Message

Artemis looked up from his work. It had been a month since his cloning and resurrection. He had died over seven months earlier. The thought brought a snowstorm over his heart. Or over his body, as he would have liked to say.

There had been a huge change over the years. Before, this though would have brought satisfaction from his head to the end of his leather-tipped loafers, but now all he felt was sadness. He strayed away from things like these though. He couldn't have the Atlantis Complex coming back to him.

Focus

Had he lost his concentration? Had Artemis Fowl the Second, former genius mastermind, one of the only humans to have outsmarted the fairies and countless other species, races and people lost his concentration? To another human, this would have been a confirmation of his being distracted, but what they wouldn't realize was that this slight figure was a prodigy. Well, he would lose that title in a few months, but there was no good in pursuing that topic. Anyway, the point is, Foaly thought a global mind-wipe was impossible. There would be a huge I.Q. dip in a huge number of people. But that didn't bother him. As he had always dreamed of doing, not that he really dreamed, he had gotten a hold of some LEP mind-wiping equipment. Of course, he had made a lot of modifications. A smaller version of this had worked against an anthill, making them forget their stimuli, or where they hid their food, so it was safe to assume that it was probably going to be successful. Not that he made a lot of mistakes. He even let Butler stay inside the room to safeguard him. In truth, he had been going a little sentimental, not that anyone would notice. He had programmed the machine to wipe the fact that he existed, then delete all the information so well, that even Foaly couldn't bring it back. Of course, it would not wipe the fairies, and their sensors would show that eh didn't do anything. Simple, but ingenious. Just the was he liked it.

Artemis Fowl the Second sat up, and pressed the button before Butler could do anything about it.

A multicolor web of light flew across the sky at the speed of, well, light. Everyone dropped down and came back up again. It lasted barely a minute.

Butler rubbed his temples.

"I know I shouldn't be telling you this, but I just got this massive headache."

Artemis smiled his famous wolfish-vampire smile.

Something was up.
