It was a cold night, one of the rarest night because he's in the middle of summer and summer supposed to be hot. He still laid down in the bed, buried under three layers of blankets : the motel's, one from Impala, his jacket and he was alone. And to add to his misery, an old song suddenly popped out on his mind…
~Do you ever feel like breaking down?~
Oh, he sure did. Now would be the exact damn time. At lease his dad and his lil' bro weren't here to watch. They would surely be disappointed.
~Do you ever feel out of place? Like somehow you just don't belong and no one understands you~
No one did understand him alright. The pain that he must go through everday and keep saying he's fine with his usual sneaky smartass smile. It haunted him.
~Do you wanna run away?~
he did. He DOES. He wanted to run away from his shitty life. What he wanted was a wife, two kids, and a big house where his parents are both ALIVE.
~Do you locked yourself in your room. With the radio on turned out so loud…~
He gotten up from his bed, swaying dangerously on his feet. A glimpse of his cell phone with sudden bright moonlight made it looked like help sent from heaven. He simply took it with shivering hands and dropped his body back to the cheap bed, forgetting the earlier intention.
~…that no one's hear you screaming~
He shut his mouth tightly, preventing any scream of his years agony ripping from his body.
~No you don't know what it's like…~
No one needs to know…
~When nothing feels alright…~
No one need sto give him sympathy…
~You don't know what it's like…~
No one needs to suffer the way he is…
~…to be like me~
He chocked a breath, waiting for the rest of the song.
~To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark~
Where was dad?
Where was Sam?
Where were they when he needed them?
No one here beside him. None of them care enough to accompany him. He was abandone by his own family.
~To be kick, when you're down. To feel like you've been pushed around~
He could remember days he was trained by John to be his perfect little soldier while taking care of Sam. Even when he was offered comfort, none was taken. All to gain his father's praise. Just to make his dad proud of him and to gather what remains of his family.
~To be on the edge of breaking down. But no one's there to save you~
He balled his fist tighter, feeling the cold hands from having no blood running. A lonely tears trailed down his cheek.
~No, you don't know what it's like….~
Suddenly, his phone rang on his palm. His green eyes trying to clear the blur off his view and figure out the caller ID. He pushed the phone between his ear and the dusty pillow. He didn't manage to know who called him but he tried to croak 'hello?' but nothing came out. Instead, one word from his caller managed to crumble the walls he built for years.
"Dean?"
~Welcome to my life~
And he cried his heart out.
Author's note :
Here's the scenario if you don't get it. Dean was tired after a hunt. His dad had kicked the bucket and Sam decided to go back to his university life. This is one of the night where he was alone and on the edge of breaking down. He still managed to keep it under control till the song played suddenly on his mind. On the way to the end of the song, he stood up in attempt to wash his face, knowing he couldn't get to sleep and didn't dare to. But instead he took his cell phone on a table across his bed and gripped it like a lifeline. The rest, you've read.
So tell me if you want more of it. I will post the next chapter if I got lots of request. But if not, sorry guys. No more chapters. I will check it later after my tests are over. See ya!
