Taxidermy read over the instructions of the recipe of the day, when he heard the chair next to him being pulled out, and scootching back in, signaling his partner was here. He turned his head, his antlers almost smacking a passing student.

"Good day, Oliver." He said to his English partner.

"And good day to you too, Taxidermy." Oliver said, smiling, "are you ready for class today?"

Taxidermy nodded, and shows Oliver the recipe, "I was reading over today's lesson, hoping to get a head in the game today, so to speak."

Oliver nods, looking gleeful, "how wonderfully brilliant!"

"So hows the family been, Oliver?" Taxidermy asks, going back to the book.

"Oh, you know, children will be children. Though Allen is finally started to take a liking to something other than little animals, and is becoming a little more out going," Oliver says with a nod, "I think that the boys spending more time together helped."

"That's good." Taxidermy says as the teacher enters the room, and begins the class. Today they were making red velvet cake.

After the class was over, Oliver was cleaning up with Taxidermy when familiar voices drifted to their ears.

"But Francois! I don't wanna! I wanna go play hockey!" The smaller blonde with a ponytail whined.

"Stop whining, James! We'll be done here as soon as we pick up Oliver!" The blonde with a cigarette in his mouth said sternly to the whiny blonde. There was a brunette boy a few steps away, admiring his little blue nerf bat.

Once he realized that they had reached where Oliver was, he ran over to the strawberry blonde dressed in pink, bat slung over his shoulder, and hugged him. "Hello, Oli!"

Oliver hugs the child back, patting his head. "Hello, poppet. Glad to see you too." Oliver puts something into a drawer.

"What have you got there, Allen?" Taxidermy asks the little boy.

"A bat." Allen says bluntly.

"That bat doesn't look like much fun. Here, have this one." Taxidermy says, handing him a wood bat, "but that still doesn't look like much fun. Here." Taxidermy makes it so there are nails sticking out of the top of the bat. Allen's red eyes widen with glee, and wobbles a little, but doesn't fall with the bat slung over his shoulder, he walks as best he can to Francois to show him his new bat.

"Nice." Francois says off handedly, not really looking.

"Are you done yet, Oliver? I want to go watch hockey!" The blue eyes child, James, asked.

Oliver smiles at him, "just a minute more, poppet. Just a minute more."

Taxidermy smiles at James, and James face shows he would rather not speak to anyone else at the moment. He continues to bother Oliver, when a yelp of pain and a small "oopsie." Was heard. They look over at Francois and Allen as to why the commotion.

They noticed the nail-y end of the bat lay heavily on Francois' foot. Allen looks at them with big, red eyes, unsure what to do. Oliver shakes his head, smiling.

"Ah, poppet. You never fail to amuse." He says, ruffling the brunettes hair. Taxidermy looks up at the clock.

"Well, Oliver, I must be going. Take care." Taxidermy said with a wave as he headed towards the door.

"You too! See you next week!" Oliver says, waving.

Taxidermy hums to himself as he walks out the building, glad to see that some things are simply never going to change.
