It was a cool day and the sky was a deep blue. His blue, but he's gone now. Never coming back. She lost him, forever. As Sakura sat in the tree, her mind wandered to thoughts of Sasuke. She sighed.
"Sasuke-kun." She said softly.
"Sakura-chan?" Said a voice behind her. She turned and smiled at the warm face. "What are you doing up here all alone?" A boy sat next to her on the branch.
"Ah, Lee-san. I didn't expect to see you here." She looked back out over the city. "I'm just thinking."
"Would you mind if I kept you company? Being alone is never as much fun as being with friends."
She smiled but didn't look at him. "I'd like it if you stayed with me." A small blush appeared on his face but he shook it off.
"How's your training going? With Hokage-sama?"
"It's going well. How's yours? Are you minding your injury?"
"Um... well, I–" Sakura smiled at him.
"It's okay. I promise not to tell if you be more careful." She put her finger to her lips and winked. He blushed again and looked away.
"Th-thanks. I promise."
"Good. You know, the view up here is beautiful. Don't you think?" Lee was caught looking at Sakura.
"Yeah, it's breathtaking." She looked at him and he immediately turned his head towards the city. She giggled a little.
"I wonder where–" She stopped. Lee looked at her, she held gloom in her eyes.
"Sakura-chan. If you're wondering about Sasuke-kun, I'm sure he's alright." Lee looked straight ahead while he spoke. It was painful to accept that the one he loved, loved another.
"L-Lee-san?!" Her voice softened. "Thank you. But, I really shouldn't be worrying about him should I?"
"No, he's strong."
Sakura laughed lightly. "No, that's not what I meant. I meant that, when I'm with other people that I care about, I should focus on them. Sasuke left. He left Konoha, and he left me. If he cared, then he wouldn't have. I have to let it go." A silver tear slid down her cheek.
"S-Sakura-chan? Are you alright." She smiled and wiped the tear away.
"Perfectly. I guess it's a little silly, isn't it? Crying over something like this."
"Not at all. But, I do have one question..."
"Anything."
"People you care about? Who did you mean?"
"Well, look around." When he did, he saw nobody. He turned back and was surprised to find Sakura's face so much closer to his. "Who am I with?"
"M-me?" He pointed to himself.
"Yes. You." They looked back down at Konoha and Sakura still held tears. Lee took her hand and she rested her head on his shoulder. The moment was right.
