Author Ramblings: Okay so this originally was a really, really bad idea. But now I'm rewriting it. Enjoy.

All across the Acolytes' base silence reigned. Which in and of itself was strange, but even more odd was the fact that the Brotherhood House was in a similar state. This was because the residents were currently accompanying a certain magnetic mutant. After Apocalypse had been defeated the Professor and Magneto had a shaky truce going on. Now the Professor invited his old friend to relax at the mansion and make the truce official. So Magnus loaded all his lackeys and junior lackeys into his metal spheres and off they went.
Once they touched down and the fire was put out and the screaming and twitching stopped they made they way to the door. Erik raised his fist and knocked on the heavy wooden door. It swung open and the formerly-evil-but-not-so-much-but-now-even-less-so mutants were pulled in. Rogue was the one did the pulling and she now slammed the door shut.
Pietro shot up from his less than graceful meeting with the floor. "Hey-what's-going-on?"
Rogue sighed and rolled her eyes. "Ah don't know why the Proffesah didn't tell ya. There was an accident in Mr. McCoy's lab, darn that Ahce cube, a canister of some experimental gas spilled and mixed with some chemical compounds. And because of anothah unrelated incident the air ducts were open and the resulting gas solution spread throughout the mansion. This happened a couple hours ago and the teachers have just announced that the mixture that contaminated the mansion was a gas that will, when ya're exposed, make ya sing ya deepest feelings. And now that ya'll have been in here and breathed the air, ya'll are stuck here 'til we can find a cure." She delivered this in a monotone.
All the previous not-villains leapt to their feet. "WHAT?"
Just then Jean and Scott came in the room right in the middle of a heated discussion. Jean noticed Rogue and a glint of crazy appeared in her eyes. Music started up from apparently nowhere,
"Perfect by nature icons of self indulgence
Just what we all need more lies about a world that
Never was and never will be

Don't you see me?
You know you've got everybody fooled."
Rogue raised her eyebrows at Jean's accusing tones. She didn't have that good of a voice but you could tell she believed in what she was singing.
"Look here she comes now
Bow down and stare in wonder

No flaws when you're pretending But now I know
She never was and never will be
You don't know how you betray me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled."
Jean grew closer to the untouchable girl and began to circle away her like a shark sizing up its prey.
"Without the mask
Where will you hide
Can't find yourself lost in your lie!
I know the truth now
I know who you are
And I don't trust you anymore

You don't know how you betray me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled.

Jean finished her song and marched out of the room.
