I own nada. Also, I had WAY too much fun thinking up synonyms for Darth Vader.
"Boring conversation anyway LUKE WE'RE GONNA HAVE-" The bounty hunter was interrupted by Darth Vader himself storming out of the doors that led to the elevator. Han whirled to face the Dark Lord, feeling for his weapon.
"Too late, bounty hunter." Vader raised his hand, and Han's gun flew into the mechanical terror's outstretched appendage. Luke and Leia turned to face the black monstrosity, fearing for their lives. The grotesque inhuman turned the faceless mask towards them.
"Luke Skywalker. I know where your father is."
The revelation knocked him off of his feet. Everyone in the room held their breath, waiting to see where the young man's loyalties truly lied.
After a second that seemed like forever, Luke came to a decision.
"Is he still alive?"
A single nod from Vader.
Then the four words that might utterly destroy the Rebellion. "Take me to him."
There was a long pause. The Force-sensitives - whether they knew it or not - could feel the emotions whirling around in the room - despair and anger from Han, Chewie and Leia, hard determination from Luke, and one emotion that towered above the rest, one that could have only come from Vader - triumph.
Finally, Vader spoke, ending the emotional whirlpool and having the attention snap back to him. "A deal."
"What?" Luke's face didn't change. He had been expecting this.
"You know where Obi-Wan Kenobi is. You will take me to him, and in return, I will take you to your father."
Conflict flitted across the young Skywalker's face, realizing what he had just agreed to. But this was his father!
Slowly, Luke met the Dark Lord's substitution for eyes and nodded. Just once.
But once was enough.
