Promised to Protect

a poem in kag's view. i know some people don't like to read poems, so if you are one of them, then the answer is clear, don't read it!

i did this in algebra when we had some free time. it is in kag's POV, saying how she will not stand by and let herself be hurt. enjoy!

Promised to Protect

I promised to stay by your side,

You promised to protect me.

My feelings grew,

But did yours to?

Faithfully by your side,

My end of the bargain up kept.

A blow was struck,

Why didn't you protect?

My feelings fell,

Thought still strong,

Weakened by the blow,

That you struck.

Faithfully by your side,

Does my promise still apply?

I stood by,

And got hurt.

No, no more.

I will not stand

To be hurt again

By the one I trusted, loved.

So this I say to you,

Watch out, I'll be back,

To make you feel, what I felt,

From the one who promised to protect.
