ABANDONMENT
A/N: Yea i dont own zoids, Reese, and most dissapointingly Raven :'(
This is my first fic, so be kind, criticism is welcome but dont flame me please. This is what's was going on inside Reese's head, when she shot the apparition of her dear friend Nicolo, forgive me for any details I might have changed or got wrong, I am currently rendered video-less, as my father foolishly threw away the tape player, so I can't watch them tear
Closing her eyes.
Reese pressed the small red button beneath her slim pale finger.
Closing her eyes.
It was over. And her desire for the blood of Van Freiheit would be sated.
His death would mean peace for her, peace for her love Raven. And Hiltz, it meant he would shut up for friggin once.
Closing her eyes.
Reese felt every moment of hatred and anger slip away. Here in the town of her youth. Where Nicolo died saving her. Every bitter thought and memory dripped away as the blue devil knew her victory was inevitable. Van was gone and she, Reese, would carry on with her plans to improve her sad, disaster ridden life. Van was the source of every discomfort she felt. When Van died, everything would be set right.
Opening her eyes.
Watching the charged particle cannon discharge its lethal beam, Reese saw Nicolo and his faithful Zoid companion, stand in front of her, a small, sad smile on his lips, shielding Van.
Crying out. What had she done? The crimson beam struck. And Nicolo dissipated into the red light.
"Nicolo. Why?"
Closing her eyes.
Emotions overwhelmed Reese in her denial. She dreamt for this. To see Nicolo again. He had been her one and only true friend. And again he was gone and it had been all her fault. She had failed him. Reese hated herself even more.
But why? Why did Nicolo save Van? Nicolo had betrayed her. Van was an icon of every thing Reese despised. Maybe? No! Nicola was HER friend! And now he too had abandoned her. Like her family, the day they shoved her into the pod. She was just a scared innocent child. But now rage blinded her while hurt and fear lodged itself deep inside her heart. Reese's life was still the same. Circles. Abandoned then, abandoned now. Shows you can't trust people right? Only Specula who obeyed her every wish and command could she put her trust in.
And Van…She would still kill him another day.
By saving Van; Nicolo had only hurt her even more. But the sudden doubt sent shocks of pain and confusion through her. She did not want to see it any other way. Van needed to be killed.
Closing her eyes.
She gave into the memories and emotions
Closing her eyes.
She let the tears fall free.
… leaving the village, leaving Nicolo, the blue devil gave into her fear and loathing…
"… Nicolo …"
