He was lonely, but he didn't realize it.
He thought that he was just bored from all of the everyday tasks he'd been put up to since he'd gotten his own home.
It was a reasonable theory, since he'd been raised in a house where he was free to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. All he really wanted, though, was to make music and bake pastries.
He didn't have nearly as much time to do so any more.
So one day, he went out to search for a persocom.
For a while, it seemed futile; wandering down the aisles filled with mixed styles, models, genders...
But eventually, he found the perfect one.
She was beautiful, with sparkling green eyes and soft, wavy brown hair.
He went home with her.
She was a bit wild at first, but she became more subdued when he programmed her to be his maid.
She was perfect.
She could clean the house in almost half the time it took him.
She made all of his favorite meals exactly the way he liked them.
She never went against his orders.
And the icing on the cake...
She loved(had been programmed to love) the music that he played. All of the classics- Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Pachelbel, Liszt, Tchaikovsky...
When the holidays came around and he played in-season songs for the crowds, she sang with him.
Her soprano mixed perfectly with his counter-tenor.
When they were together, he smiled.
When they were apart, his expression turned sour.
People whispered.
He ignored them.
He took care of her, making sure she was healthy(making sure her circuits still worked properly). Whenever a new model came out, he took her to be updated- never replaced.
He played.
She sang.
He forgot.
She remembered.
He proposed.
She accepted.
People talked.
They ignored.
They adopted a child.(He bought a laptop)
They married.
They were happy.
So, my sister got half the Chobits manga series for her birthday... We fell in love. I wasn't even done with the fourth book when this idea popped into my head XD
