My life changed on April 9th 1912. It had been a fairly normal day up to this point. I had gone about mending a few dresses; I was working on one for Mrs. Taylor down the street when I heard the postman. I decided to take a break and see if my new thread had come in the mail. So I got up and went outside.
"Got any packages for me today Al?" I asked.
"Not today Alice, I have a nice letter here for you! No name though. That's odd." Al said.
"It is very particular." I murmured taking the envelope.
"Thank You Al!" I yelled after him as he continued to walk down the street.
I was a bit wary of the letter at first, but curiosity got to me. As I opened it, I saw the symbol of the White Star Line on the front. I was confused; I don't remember having anything to do with the White Star. As I opened it fully, I understood at once. It was one first class ticket, for the Titanic
