"I shall see you again."

"I've learned much things since you left. I learned how to make friends, I learned how to help people...I learned how to fight..."

"I've never forgotten you. Granted, sometimes in the spur of the moment I get distracted, but I remember why I made it here in the first place. You helped me. You helped me gain confidence in myself, something that really aided me as a huntress and still does. I'm still a dork, but I've learned to accept it."

"For years I didn't know how to cope. Yang was always there for me, of course, and so are Blake and Weiss now, but I still thought...I still thought I could get to you. I still thought I could make it up to you..."

"I was your child, and I...was mad at the world."

"But no more. For I know I can wait, because someday, maybe soon or maybe not, I'll come back to you...and we can all be one again. We can all be a family."

Ruby brushed the tears off her face and reached for her pocket, taking out a small paper and placing it upon the casket.

"The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."

And the moon shone wide across the sky, and the stars twinkled and there was peace. Ruby headed down the hill.
